The gripping surface is covered in little domes, they're quite hard but should give some grip. I bought these to wear when flying RC aircraft on cold days as I need to have proper connection with the sticks.

Good product, item arrived quickly. The gloves themselves are great for fishing or climbing, the only problem with them is no velcro strap to secure to your wrists. But for the price, excellent.
