Out of the box the manufacture seemed to be extremely high quality - quality metal, looks like it was carefully engineered and flawlessly manufactured. I attached it to my bicycle (hard tail, and already has a seat with springs). I wasn't sure how it would interact with the springed seat. I ride an electric bike at higher speeds through DCs, so potholes and things makes it a bit choppy. Wow, this seat made all the difference, it made the ride more cushy and fun than intense and hard, more like riding a cadillac than a sports coupe. I personally plan to buy more of these and put them on my other bicycles. As far as what people are saying about the seat turning and twisting - yes, I had that too, but the issue had nothing to do with the shock system itself - it was just that I hadn't tightened the seat hard enough where it connects to the frame. You have to tighten the seat, where it attaches to the frame, SUPER hard, then, no more seat turning. Make sure you post matches your frame diameter, too, or else you're in trouble. I should also warn, that if your seat rides low, this will need to raise it by about 5 inches, because the shock system can't go into the frame tube - so the lowest you can raise your seat is 5 inches more than a non-shock seat - be careful if you're short. ### ⭐⭐ what suspension? *by G***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2010* this offers little, if any, suspension for me. it does not move smoothly very often. it seems to stick and offer very little suspension for me. i am 205 pounds. in my opinion, the up-down motion of this seatpost is not condusive to proper suspension for a bicycle. your seat does not exactly move up and down when going over bumps. it moves more like a front-to-back motion. the tamer pivot DOES operate correctly as designed. it's the design that is the problem. while this suspension seatpost does perform some suspension duties, in my opinion, no suspension seatpost of this design will do much since the up-down motion is not conducive to the natural motion of the seat needed for proper suspension. i hope this makes sense. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pleased with this product. *by N***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2014* I had to make a lot of adjustments over several rides to get it to work properly but I think I finally got it. I thought it would be more giving like the handlebar suspension.
