Thanks** A: This ceramic filter candles comes with a Washer and Wing Nut. **Q: How long is the selve life of an unused filter.** A: The shelve life of a NEVER been used filter is indefinite. **Q: Does this remove chlorine 100%?** A: I do not know if the chlorine removal is 100%. In fact I do not know that it removes anything 100%. It reduces various particles. Sorry that is the best I can say. When I check with my meter I still see many more particles, which I cannot identify, as my meter only states the amount of particles, which I would prefer not to be there, but I am in a very hard water area.
