The impressive feature is the hardness of the the stone, I have a selection of course grit stones but they're all much softer and need constant flattening, this one didn't. It's slightly smaller than the king deluxe but I managed fine with a mid sized cleaver. I am a expert sharpener and worked professionally for ten years as a Togoshi (Japanese sword polisher) and am happy to highly recommend this stone.
