I like the setup with two monitors for working from home** A: don't try to use a docking station to connect the 2 monitors using the C type USB because it wont work, I spent hours in the phone with HP technical service (they charge $16 subscription) and they told me that the C type USB the laptop has is not Thunderbolt then is not compatible for video transmission. **Q: Does it work with external monitor ?** A: The mini C port does not support display output (with or without a mini hub). HDMI port works great, as well as a USB-A port, with a hub (using a j5 currently). **Q: How many USB ports does it have?** A: 2 **Q: Jan. 29th: I inserted a flash drive into this brand new computer and now I cannot eject it. What is wrong?** A: Are you talking about the eject function on the computer or physically removing the flash drive? It is definitely a tight fit and required a good pull to get it out. Being thin there is very little travel when depressing the keys. It means just brushing a key will wind up with the letter being typed. Many times, you’ll end up typing “thast” instead of “that” and "12" insteasd of "1". Another thing about the shallow key travel, typing with the tip of the fingers is jarring. A lighter tap with the flat of the fingers is more comfortable if you do a lot of work.Buying a computer loaded with Windows 10 wasn’t a problem. At around 30 days Windows Update notified me of an option to update to Windows 11 which I did do. Don’t forget to create a restore point immediately after upgrading to Win 11 because I don’t know if using System Recovery to reinstall the original Win 10 OS will allow an upgrade to Win 11 again.There are only 2 usb ports. They are so close together its necessary to use the slim metal sticks if you're transferring documents from one usb stick to another. ( I guess you could buy a usb hub as another way of coping with the 2 ports.)Other than the shallow keys and the 2 usb ports positioned too close to one another, there’s been no problem. I use it when saving stuff to thumb drives, etc or saving large files, etc. There are certain websites that require use of a computer vs iPads and smartphones as well. I use my iPhone or iPad 99% of the time simply because the phone is always with me and I prefer the IOS operating system. I did not buy an Apple computer due to price and will no longer buy any Apple product since they are produced in China which is propping up the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This laptop is reasonably fast and easy enough to use. The screen quality is excellent and the battery life is great.
