Even the screws on the inside have been covered over with rounded wood so no nasty bits for a young child to catch themselves on. Very well thought out for children. My daughter loves the sliding barn doors which are easy for her to open and close and so wide that you can easily push animals through without any tantrums! Lots of open windows plus a wooden ladder and folding wooden fence. The plastic animals you get with this (sheep, horse, dog, turkey, pig, cow and goat) are perfectly adequate. He thinks it is an amazing house that opens up & also uses it as a garage for all his matchbox type cars but hasn't started using it as a farm yet. The sliding doors are a huge hit & he can even drive in some of his double decker buses! We will be attaching a hook & eye to secure the building when it's carried around though as I can see it crashing to the ground & probably breaking the spine/hinges & timbers.....& that would break my Grandson's heart. I did buy it in the Amazon deals for around £25 & would have been disappointed had I paid more. It is lightweight & the paintwork looks as if it may suffer so I am not sure how long it will last. The interior is raw unpainted wood & the mean quantity of animals is probably why the new owner doesn't play farm. Luckily I have some heirlooms to add when he needs them.
