Review: Handy gadget for your cast iron pans - I bought these to use on my cast iron pans. They work well, and it is nice to have something that sits on the handle rather than trying to perch a hot pad on there. I do feel at least on my pans, that I need to use both hands to move a pan in and out of the oven. This handle holder is good, but i don't feel confident moving it from stove to oven or vice versa just with this on the handle . There is a little play in the fit, and I don't like to risk moving hot things if I think I might drop it. They do provide good protection for your hand on the stove top, and it is a good indicator to anyone else that comes in the kitchen that the pan is hot.

I bought these to use on my cast iron pans. They work well, and it is nice to have something that sits on the handle rather than trying to perch a hot pad on there. I do feel at least on my pans, that I need to use both hands to move a pan in and out of the oven. This handle holder is good, but i don't feel confident moving it from stove to oven or vice versa just with this on the handle . There is a little play in the fit, and I don't like to risk moving hot things if I think I might drop it. They do provide good protection for your hand on the stove top, and it is a good indicator to anyone else that comes in the kitchen that the pan is hot.

not great when left on aluminum fry pan, which handle part padded gets too hot . but fried chicken in a cast iron slipped on when needed seemed to work ok so dont leave on fry pan slip on when you need it
