Usually with a consistent routine my skin is blemish free and keeping moisture balance isn't a problem. However, this past winter has been rather hard on my skin. I out of my daily gentle cleaner and used my bottle of concentrated deep facial cleanser twice daily. This coupled with the dry winter weather and my skin care actives disrupted my skin barrier. For 2 months I've kept getting painful cystic acne around my nose and chin which has left dark red marks and severe dry patches. My usual moisturizers weren't helping, with my dry skin constantly flaking off and the thickness of the moisturizer my pores kept getting clogged and infected leaving me with even more painful acne. And at this point using my actives was hit or miss.I heard about this product on tiktok and decided to give it a go. It arrived about a week earlier than estimated and after using it for a week my dry patches have almost completely healed and I've stopped getting new painful cystic acne and almost all of my acne has healed. It has even helped to heal my dry skin so that now the skin around my nose snd mouth feel oily like my forehead when I wake up in the morning. Which for me is a good sign because it means my facial moisture isn't getting sucked up by dry flaky skin.This product doesn't make my face sticky or tacky per se. It gives a moisturized feeling and helped calm redness and even out my skin tone. If you apply to bone dry skin then it will sit on top of your skin and rub off and look like your skin is shedding. To prevent this make sure to apply moist or semi damp skin, this may also help prevent any sticky texture you want to avoid.Still have yet to try it with makeup because my dry patches made it impossible to wear makeup and not look like I had a necrotic skin disease. Will update after my skin heals and can wear makeup again.Can't wait to do a microneedle facial and use this serum after. I haven’t noticed anything drastic in terms of appearance, but I love how quickly it absorbs into my skin. I am on the oilier side of skin so it’s really nice to have a product that does not leave residue. It’s got a light feeling o after being applied. I’ll usually cleanse my skin, apply a toner, then apply this stuff and let it work into my skin for a few min. Then I’ll apply a serum and finish off with an SPF. I will say that my skin does feel as though it’s producing less oil and my theory is that the products I’ve been using (including this one) really are absorbed well by my skin and ultimately, it doesn’t not feel the need to produce as much oil compared to when it’s not hydrated enough throughout the day/night.Good stuff.
