The strings on the waistband are just for show lol but thats okay we dont need to use them. I love the quality of these shorts and they will last to pass down to my younger child. Great price too at about $5 a pair. Easy to put on as they are stretchy. Only negative is when they arrived they smelled strongly of air freshener or something.
