Actually, I discovered it after I started googling the ingredients for the Rodan and Fields acne system. Turns out one of the active ingredients is sulfur. I have always struggled with acne, even now as a 30 year old woman. But I had never tried sulfur products before. I tried this soap and it really helped my skin a lot! It does have a slight sulfur smell when you are using it, but it's worth it, and I don't think it really lingers. I would say it's GREAT soap and usually a bar lasts me 2-3 months, so very cost effective if you can't afford the fancy stuff. Not only did my acne clear up, but I feel like my skin just looks brighter and healthier after using this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perioral Dermatitis *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2017* I get an outbreak of Perioral Dermatitis every winter. I’ve tried all the antibiotics, several prescription creams. Eventually the rash would not go away, I had it all summer. I was at my wits end. I tried this soap and the 10% Sulfur Ointment by the same company. It’s only been three weeks, but my face hasn’t looked this good in years. It’s such a HUGE relief to be off prescription medicines and have something that works. I use the ointment every other night and this soap every evening. I have stopped exfoliating and switched to mild lotions (which probably helped too). I do notice a smell from this soap and especially the ointment. I recommend using the sulfur products in the evening and rinsing well with water or a mild cleanser in the morning, it really helps remove the odor. If you are experiencing over drying, try using a drop of vegetable glycerin as a serum before bed (and a humidifier if you have it). It’s oil free and helps draw water to your skin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hope for us acne sufferers!! *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2017* I could write a book about my acne troubles but I will save you the details! I have struggled since I was 16 with acne but having kids really changed my body. My hormones were all over the place & birth control did not help either. I stumbled upon this sulphur soap and I actually really love it. My skin is naturally very oily so this helps significantly, without over drying. I began using once at night for the first week then twice a day- morning & evening. I follow up with some Thayers Witch Hazel on a cotton ball and some moisturizer. Good to go! I promise it does not smell bad either!!! Be sure you soak for 30 seconds prior to using it. I also use a face brush to get it all in there and let it sit for a minute. DO NOT GET IT IN YOUR EYES! I think you should give this a try if you've struggled with acne like I have. I understand how frustrating it can be!
