The Bisley Payne Galway Brush is a phosphor bronze bore brush for 12 gauge shotguns, built to the Payne-Gallwey pattern and named after Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey. It screws onto a cleaning rod and is run back and forth through the barrel to scrub out powder fouling, lead and the stubborn plastic residue that builds up in the forcing cones from plastic-wad cartridges. The bristles are dense and hold their shape rather than compacting like a lighter twisted brush, so the brush keeps a firm fit in the bore and gives a proper scrub even on heavily fouled barrels and chambers. It is a sound choice as an alternative to twisted Parker-Hale type brushes when ordinary cleaning is not shifting the worst of the fouling. **Q: I have the 20g cleaning kit - does the 12g brush fit into that rod?**
A: If your cleaning kit is a genuine Bisley kit the brush will suit.

**Q: Can anyone tell me what rod this fits to? Don't fit the rod I already have. Thanks.**
A: I thought that the rods had a standard thread, my rod is a cheap no name one and no problems with any of the accessories that I have bought they all fitted the thread, sorry if that’s not very helpful.

**Q: What thread is on this brush**
A: Hi, we’ve no info on the exact thread. 

It will only suit Bisley / Parker Hale English thread shotgun cleaning rods, it won’t suit the Italian rods from other kits including the Bisley cleaning kit that’s supplied in the black nylon case.

**Q: Hi your photo is a 12c which is for chamber, i want a 12c not a 12b, will it be a 12c that you send me**
A: Hi This item is a 12g Barrel & chamber brush. The one brush will do both for you - bisley do not offer a separate chamber only 12g brush as far as we are aware. 

Item sent will be a 12g Payne Galway Brush.
