I did the soft side down for our baby and it’s not flush against the skin** A: I always do soft side down because my skin is sensitive and the rough side causes my skin to be irritated. Any tubie pads I use are not always flush to the skin, they’re more there to catch drainage so it doesn’t get on clothes or make the bumper and tube a mess, so I would say as long as it is catching the drainage correctly it should be okay:) **Q: Will these covers work for PEGs as well?** A: They should. We have a mickey button and they work fine. It goes around the tube coming out of the abdomen so should be the same.
