It also made me realise that the last few volumes have been leading up to something... The survivors continue their journey across a zombie-infested America, heading for Washington & hopefully towards something resembling a government, while avoiding a massive heard consisting of thousands of undead. This one got damaged when an adjacent storage unit flooded and seeped into ours, so I purchased this replacement copy. For a new reader starting from scratch, though, I would suggest considering the larger compendiums that contain the equivalent of about four of these volumes, as those have additional content such as cover artwork from the original monthly comic book editions. Nonetheless, this is a very nicely formatted edition and still a much cheaper way of purchasing the series than would have been individual comic books.
