We are not sure if the electrics were successful. Seems to be no light etc to indicate if power is on.** A: The pump pushes the water through the filter so it’s always on as such, the electrics are for the UV light, there is a small window in the top section if you look directly over it you should see a faint light blue glow which tells you it’s on, it’s easier to see when it’s dark **Q: Is it possible to run two pumps into this filter box ?** A: There is only x1 in-let on the filter box. I would say though try it with one pump, I have had ponds for many years and this is the best filter I have ever had. **Q: Does the 5000 come with bio balls?** A: Yes **Q: Do you need to turn the pump off when cleaning the sponges by turning the handle.** A: Personally I do turn off the pump when turning the handle because that is what the instructions say. However, there is nothing to stop the handle being turned whilst the pump is on. But, the divererter valve needs to be in the drain position otherwise the dirty water will be pumped back into the pond. This is a great filter, easy to install and the pond is nice and clear after a few days. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by I***S on 11 September 2023* Bought this to clear a very green large holding pond for about 20 fish. Fitted it on the 6th and by 11th it was running clear. Very impressed and think it will only get better. Had to buy some pipework from the local aquatic centre to set it up and attach it to my pump but it was fairly straight forward. Haven’t tried the spinning cleaning yet so can’t comment on that but it’s achieved what I bought it for which was to clear some pea soup water. I can see my fish again. Tried the spin clean this evening and after a stupid mistake found it to work very well. Lots of very dirty water discharged.
