Review: Third time's the charm? - We sent the first chair back because of a crack in the wood we were worried might affect the structural integrity. We sent the replacement back because it looked like the package had been dropped and the ottoman was cracked nearly in half. You can imagine we inspected the third chair pretty thoroughly - there are a couple of minor cracks but it doesn't look like the structural integrity will be compromised so we kept it. Now about the chair! Aside from all the complications to finally get one here that seems structurally sound, I do not regret this purchase. I am 6 months pregnant (glad I ordered before baby arrived!) and we put the chair together in about 15 minutes. The instructions aren't perfectly clear about everything but they are very simple. I had read many reviews but I didn't have a lot of the problems others have mentioned: Some people have complained that the back cushion is low or doesn't support their head. I am 5' 7" and my husband is 6' tall and we both found the back of the chair very comfortable. Perhaps this is because we fastened the back cushion to the top of the chair instead of only the back poles, so it can't slip down. Perhaps it's because we have only sat in the chair for a short while. But we like it. Some people have complained that the arm rests do not snap on. We did have trouble getting them to snap but we got all the snaps secured. Some people have complained that the seat cushion is not thick enough. I have only had my chair for a few hours but I find the seat cushion is very nice. I am 157 lbs (at 6 months pregnant) but if it does get uncomfortable over time or as my weight increases I will probably put another cushion on top or something. Right now, it feels great. The rocking motion is smooth and all feels great so far. If I remember to go back and edit my review in 6 months or so, I'll try to let you know if I ever had squeaking issues (as many people have).
Review: Functional Good-Looking Glider For New Parents - We got this for the nursery for the new baby. We saw a bunch of expensive gliders in stores, but my wife was never sure we needed it, and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Well, rest assured, we needed it. The baby loves her rocking before bed ritual, and this does the job. It's a glider, so won't grind dirt marks into your floor like my mom's old rocker did. We have hardwoods, so a glider is the way to go. My wife doesn't like the ottoman, she just rocks. I personally love to put my feet up and glide on it. It's a nice touch I didn't think I would enjoy (gimmick?) but really ended up liking a lot. Why not 5 stars? It's very good, but not top notch. The arms aren't as padded as I like, so when I rest my elbows there to hold the baby they sometimes will get pins and needles. Also, one of the clips for the holder had the wrong gender of snap on it so I couldn't snap both sides together, only one. We didn't bother to send that back since, well hello newborn, and it rocks, so we lived with it, but the fact that they can make such an obvious mistake keeps them at the 4 star level as well. There's lot of colors to choose from, but unfortunately not one that matched the baby furniture we got from Costco. It's not bad, though, and the stain is good. The rest of the padding is pretty good as well, just not super comfy. Still, for the price we paid, this was definitely worth it and we'd recommend it to new parents on a budget that don't want to spend $400+ on a glider for a couple years of use. Just be sure to get a blanket or some padding to put on the arms if you plan to rest your arms there to support a baby.

**Q: weight capacity**
A: I am a heavy woman, 5' 11 and 235 lbs. and it works great for me! Not sure weight capacity, but hope this helps!

**Q: Do you have to assemble**
A: Yes, we did have to assemble the glider but it was very easy and the directions were easy to follow! It took my husband about 25 minutes to get it assembled and for me enjoying it!!

**Q: How much assembly is required?**
A: Minimal assembly required. My 18 year old son put it together in less than 30 minutes. Maybe 10 screws. The major components of the rocker are pre-assembled.

**Q: What is the material in the taupe swirl?  is it microfiber?  is there a shine to the material or is it flat?**
A: The fabric on this chair is not a microfiber. It might be a Cotten/polyester blend? It is not a super soft fabric but very study and easy to clean! There is no shine, just a flat material.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great chair for the price

So far so good with this recliner. I will likely want more padding in the bottom cushion, but for the price I am very happy with this purchase. The back is comfortable and soft, and high enough that I can rest my head against it (I am about 5'6"). I love the side pockets especially, and the ottoman is a great height for me. The chair was easy to put together, and at 32 weeks pregnant I was able to do so on my own easily. The ottoman came assembled, which was nice. None of the parts are particularly heavy. The arm cushions were a little tricky to put on, but fit nice and snug once they are attached (they don't slip around at all). The color is slightly darker in person than it appears on the screen, but I'm actually really happy about that. I thought it was much more "white" and it is more of a sandy-tan color. I've heard that the chair starts to squeak after a few months of use, but for the price I think it was worth the risk. **UPDATE** After four months of using this glider, I upgraded my rating to five stars. Especially for the price, this glider is great! With a couple of tweaks, I was able to make this chair work perfectly for myself and my son. I have a wedge pillow from my pregnancy that works perfectly as extra padding on the seat, and a couple of generous rounds on the hinges with spray canola oil (yes, canola oil, not WD40), we have had zero squeaks. I use this chair to feed and soothe my baby every single day, and I love it. And the pockets are fantastic! I keep a burp cloth and fingernail clippers in them at all times. (Handy when I can't get up, and he's distracted by eating enough that I can trim those nails!) I highly recommend this chair, especially if you don't want to spend several hundred dollars on a fancier glider.
