I bought these to use with a red light mask that has crazy bright lights-- it left my eyes blurry for a few minutes after use. Maybe that's safe, maybe not, but it was alarming! I tried a version that was made for use with tanning beds, but it was still just like staring at the sun with my eyes closed. So I did a little shopping and I picked these up to wear under the mask and they have worked well! No more blurry eyes and they are pretty comfy to wear. Some light still comes in around the top and bottom of the frames, but I'm ok with it because of the overall light-blocking quality and the results.
