Personally I wore my grey & black zip up sweatshirts throughout the colder months in San Diego. Yes, I did put them in the dryer after washing. If I buy more of these in the future I will be sure to NOT put them in the dryer, they lose their shape and are looking dumpy now. This is a very full sized sweatshirt, which is exactly what I wanted. I am a small even in women's standard sizing. I can wear a heavy sweater underneath this sweatshirt and it's still roomy. I like the way the oversize looks. Since winters are cold where I live, I even wear these comfy hoodies around the house, or when curling up on the couch with a book. I have two: the black is a true solid black color, the grey is a faded washed. The black and the navy blue (a true dark navy blue color, I bought for a friend) are a little softer than the grey. Maybe this is from being less washed, then the grey that has the faded look? Sill, I personally like both choices.
