They’re comfortable and not restrictive at all, so he can run and play freely without them getting in the way. I ordered a size Medium for my 54 lb son, but I definitely should have gone down a size. Thankfully, they have a functional drawstring, which I really like because we can tighten the waist to his preference and they still stay up while he’s playing. Overall, they’re nice athletic shorts, and I would purchase them again—I’d just size down next time.
