Review: Wonderful!! - We moved into a 1903 house last year and have been horrified by the black mold and general dampness everywhere. After crying my eyes out at the state of my sons room, mold on the walls, his books and games, I looked up solutions on the net and realised that it was caused by humidity, not damp. I bought a hygrometer and found that the humidity levels in his room alone were 78%. Yesterday, my dehumidifier arrived. I'm crying again! This time for joy. In the first 8 hours of running it we've collected 4 pints of water, the humidity levels have fallen to around 50% and the temperature in his room has increased by 4 degrees. After just a day, I can't praise the thing highly enough. I purchased the Ebac 2650e to get rid of the mildew - and it has transformed the climate in my entire flat! The unit is very simple to use - let it run on 'Auto' setting for a couple of weeks - just switch it on and forget about it, it will adjust humidity levels automatically and remove as much moisture from the air as necessary for a healthy environment. I was quite surprised to be emptying the unit once a day at first, but as humidity levels decrease, it requires emptying less frequently. I now run it on 'economy' mode, and empty the reservoir a couple of times a week. My flat is quite large, and over two floors - ground floor and basement. I'd imagined that the dehumidifier would only work over one floor, but it seems to have gone to work on the entire flat. I used to have to run a mini-dehumidifier in my downstairs storage room, but this is now not needed. The downstairs bathroom feels cozy and dry, as does the rest of the flat. I really can't describe how much more comfortable the flat feels. **Q: Ebac 2650E Plus with Accessory Pack - does this include a drainage kit, bactiguard filter and castors as it's not clear from product description?**
A: We don't bother to use our Ebac any longer, we still have it but just don't bother with it. So this answer is from memory only. a) No drainage kit supplied but I think it can be purchased separately from what i recall. Very easy also to fix a DIY drain, like an toilet cistern overflow arrangement. b) There is some sort of rear air filter in the unit. Whether its a bacterial filer... not sure but they do state that this filter need changing at regular intervals and again from memory (and my comments) the filters are not cheap. c) No castors.. at least on my unit anyway. Its a carry job. You can try ringing Ebac direct and if they answer then you will be lucky. At the time when I bought ours their After Sales service was atrocious. Finally we found it to be very expensive to run. You have to close off all outlets to external air, windows etc., incl chimney stacks, to ensure it drags water vapour from the room(s) only where it is located. No time switch control but when working it certainly did collect a lot of water in the small(ish) catchment tank. Hope this helps.

**Q: How long does it take to start collecting water?**
A: Straight away. 15 liters of water mine took in 3 days. It's good

**Q: can I turn off the air purification mode?  I dont want to use the ionizer**
A: It does not have an ionizer only a filter.  This cannot be turned off.

**Q: Hello Does this come with the 5 year guarantee as it would if I bought direct from ebac?**
A: I seem to remember that it did.  I only realised after purchase that I might have missed out on this and I contacted supplier who confirmed that, at that time, the 5 yer guarantee did apply to my Amazin purchase. That might of course have changed

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plagued by a "leak" at floor level in my conservatory.

Iv'e had this problem for a few years and always thought that it was a leak coming under the UPVC frame of the conservatory. It always seemed to be at it's worst when the rain was really pelting down. I decided to give a de humidifier a go at the problem and I'm glad that I did. The carpet tiles used to be soaked with water at the left hand corner and I was forever lifting them and drying them off etc. The problem wasn't a leak, it was condensation running down the conservatory window glass and onto the tiled floor. The difference is astounding particularly as it's been pouring down almost all the time the Ebac has been operation. The tiles have dried out and the condensation problem is non existent. Probably a de humidifier of whatever make would have cured the problem to some extent, but I can only review the Ebac and it appears to be excellent. For the first week or so of operation I had to pour out a couple of litres of water every day, but as the conservatory floor dried out it may take a week to get any where near full. Certainly when I'm cooking, particularly boiling veg and tatties I have my window open and extractor on to prevent excess condensation appearing in the conservatory(adjacent to the kitchen). I'm much more careful about steam in the kitchen after realising just how much can go into the air from a pan of simmering water. The de humidifier does the job and my Electricity bill hasn't leapt upwards. It gives out a little bit of heat and the contols all seem to work well. I should have purchased one years ago.
