I have not had them sealed since I had no problems before. I hope this is helpful. **Q: Could i lay these under my carpet tiles as insulation** A: I was not happy with the quality and did not use. Would not recommend **Q: will these lay directly on concrete, do you need to seal concrete first?** A: We laid them directly on to clean dry concrete and have had no problem with them. **Q: Can these be stuck to chipboard ?** A: Timber floors-floorboards etc need to be secured and irregular surfaces sanded and gaps filled. Overlay with resin bonded plywood or hardboard smooth side up and nail at 6" centres below the surface. Finally apply a floor primer over the entire surface and allow to dry for 48 hrs before laying tiles . The sub Floor should be primed with floor primer NOT A SEALANT It is important to lay self adhesive tiles onto a clean dry dustfree surface. Perfect.Tip: leave a gap in between the tiles a little more than a hairline fracture because the tiles need room to expand and contract in the summer.
