Review: Fantastic deal for $$, EASY to DIY install w/ great video & app instructions. - I am impressed. First of all, watch the installation video in the item listing in desertcart. It is the first video for this Sensi Lite Smart Thermostat and it could not be anymore thorough than it is. If you want step by step it is that and logical. Then the app itself does the same thing, step by step as well. These folks actually cover all the bases. I know a lot about a lot of this but not AC and heating. It went off without a hitch, I have an old 4 wire system with no C wire and what is really cool is BEFORE YOU EVEN BUY you can d/l the app, go to the step as if you are installing a new one, go where you identify the wires on your old thermostat and it will tell you if it will work for you if you are not sure. I had this thing on, up, and connected to wifi and running in about 10-15 minutes, no issues. The only thing that concerned me was I was reading reviews before buying it and some people complained about it losing connectivity frequently. Only 3 minutes after installing that happened one time, and as I was reading the re-connect instructions it prompts you to, then it reconnected on its own before I could do it. For all I know that could have been my wifi burping, it does sometimes. >>IF<< I have that as a recurring issue I will be returning it because my router has plenty of reach and several devices further from it than this thermostat never lose connection. We shall see. I am just trying to give a full picture, I have no complaints but that was the primary reasonable one I saw in the negative reviews. So far I love the thing, the display is very cool, most of the time I will be bumping it manually walking by and that is a piece of cake. I have old eyes and appreciate the large numbers on the display too. I also like I can adjust it remotely from 4 states over as well. Honestly if you just want a remote app and basic functions with a schedule (I won't use) I don't know about all these others that cost way more why you would buy one of those. It is also nice looking. Oh yeah, it works on Alexa and other voice control things I also do not use. I think you get a lot of bang for the buck on this.
Review: Simple but Effective Smart Thermostat - This thermostat is very uncomplicated, but does everything a person should want out of a smart thermostat. You can pay hundreds for other smart thermostats but none will heat/cool you home better than this Sensi Lite. The app interface is clean and easy to understand. You can set multiple heat/cool scenarios and activate whichever one needed at the tiime. One feature that I like in particular is the "Early Start" that will start heat/cool early to achieve your target temperature at the specified time. For many people who do not have the C-Wire, this thermostat will work perfectly without it. No need to worry yourself and suffer sleepless nights over C-Wire. With or WITHOUT C-Wire this thermostat will do the job for you. Enjoy your sleep with no C-wire nightmares. I have owned other smart thermostats and some (more expensive than this) have had unreliable connections to wifi. They would be offline as often as ONLIINE. This is very annoying when you want to check the temperature or wish to change settings when you're away from home. The Sensi Lite has been ROCK SOLID in its' online connection. In the months since installation, I have never, even ONCE, observed it being Offline. I have recommended this to other family members. If you want to keep your home heated or cooled to a specific range of temperature and don't want to worry if you will freeze or boil in your home due to a rogue thermostat, then the Sensi Lite is for you. Check around and you will find almost all other smart thermosts to be MUCH more expensive than the Sensi. This is reasonably priced and will do a great job for you. UPDATE: After 2 months of use, the touch sceen on the thermostat croaked, so I was only able to adjust temperature in the app. I purchased this a "Used: Like New", but as you may know you're out of luck after 30 days. Fortunately, desertcart gave me a grace period and agreed to refund. But, don't count on a refund past 30 days. I repurchased this SAME thermosat, but NEW this time an added a 36 month warrnty, to be safe. I am still sold on this thermosat, but anything can malfunction, so I don't believe I'd buy this thermostat as refurbished. I would buy this NEW.

**Q: How does the auto changeover work? can i set it to keep the temp between 65 and 74 degrees and it turns a/c and heat on as necessary?**
A: Yes I wasn't sure how it would work.  I have my account set to 78.  AC came on when it go too hot.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Hi. My old thermostat has the red wire connect to RH which then jumps to RC. With the Sensi lite, do I just attached the red wire to R? Thank you.**
A: Sensi claims there is an internal jumper which means you only have to connect the red wire which now goes to RH. However, I had to pigtail the red wire and connect to both RH and RC

**Q: Will this thermostat work on a split unit meaning natural gas heat**
A: It works on my natural gas central unit (if you need emergency heat then no this touch lite will not work for you)

**Q: Does this have a child lock?**
A: Yes, it’s called Lock Thermostat Display. It’s located in the system settings.

I am impressed. First of all, watch the installation video in the item listing in Amazon. It is the first video for this Sensi Lite Smart Thermostat and it could not be anymore thorough than it is. We just spent a lot of money on a heating and air conditioner so I wanted to get a good thermostat to go with it. The Sensi Light is a nice thermostat, Easy to self-install and set up. I like the schedule feature and the humidity control. You can access and control the system with the Sensi app and with Alexa. It compatible with our new system. If you have a heat pump or multi stage system, you would need a different thermostat, is Available with some the other Sensi devices my.
