I wasn't willing to spend a lot for something I wouldn't use all the time so I think this is a great price for my needs. I've only used this twice so far but it worked great. I loved that it came with a safety glove and clips as they proved useful for my thick hair, wavy hair. There are 4 temperature options and I used the next to the highest (410 degrees). This iron gets super hot so be sure to use the glove when clamping down the end and have something heat proof that you can lay it on while it's on. My hair is also frizzy so the iron helped to tame that down so my hair ended up softer.
