Review: Excellent product – deliciously seasons & tenderises - This is wonderful stuff. Something similar used to be made by Schwartz and I used it for many years, but it was discontinued. As it says, it seasons and tenderises, and can be used with any meat. I think it works best with lamb chops – which I grill, and it makes the meat taste scrumptious! Frankly, I wouldn't bother eating lamb without it. Great on steak too.

This is wonderful stuff. Something similar used to be made by Schwartz and I used it for many years, but it was discontinued. As it says, it seasons and tenderises, and can be used with any meat. I think it works best with lamb chops – which I grill, and it makes the meat taste scrumptious! Frankly, I wouldn't bother eating lamb without it. Great on steak too.

This product appears to work very well but I would suggest that the application is carried out a good 12 hours or more before cooking the meat as this allows the tenderiser to penetrate deeper into the tissue. I have only given this item 4 stars instead of 5 because the powder is very light and somewhat difficult to spread evenly over the surface. I used to be able to purchase Schwartz tenderiser containing fine granules rather than powder which in my opinion is more controllable but I believe this item is no longer available.
