Does this radio transmit at that frequency?** A: Yes, but it is extremely very low wattage. It only transmits full power on the amateur bans and FRS and GMRS. **Q: Has anyone tried using the Baofeng programing cable with this unit?** A: yes the same cable i have to program my baofeng uv5r also worked when i plugged it in to the uv k5 to do the firmware update and to download and write the memory channel list using the uv k5 software. **Q: Anyone have a gmrs cfg file?** A: The new update from Chirp has all the default GMRS and much more. Check the available configs in the Files - Open Stock Config. There will be the US FRS and GMRS channels. The image I included I took myself in my product photography Light Box, With the original packaging. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ OK Radio - Does what it is supposed to, but NEEDS better instruction manual! *by A***N on July 22, 2023* Programming is extremely difficult to get right without using a programming cable and the software (not supplied with the radio, you have to hunt for it and download). I did find after my initial program of the radio that the free "Chirp" program now has an experimental driver that WILL at least read the radio. (Haven't tried using it to program yet though It should work.) So far it appears to be worth the money - nothing spectacular but I do like the display and the availability of USB type C charging - they say emergency charging only - for times when the main charger isn't available but a computer with USB ports & a type "C" cable is. See the manual for details and read carefully.
