- We strongly recommend purchasing the Cord Grip version of this fitting for installation with electrical supply to a lamp holder - if attempting installation with electrical supply on this non-Cord Grip fitting, please ensure that a reliable earth bond is achieved via a terminal ring and earth wire (not included) to one of the fitting screws.

**Q: What is the maximum weight it will hold?**
A: It is safe to suspend loads up to 5kg (12lbs). Screws must be fixed into ceiling joist.

**Q: If there's no electricals inside to install a light how is it earthed?**
A: You need a flex with light bulb fitting.  My electrician fitted mine

**Q: A traditional dome has a screw fitting (which I can see) for a ring with wooden wedges to clamp the lamp flex. Does this have the ring and clamp?**
A: It does have a M10 10mm threaded hole in the centre, other than the matching screws, nothing else is supplied.

**Q: Does this light fitting have to be secured onto a wooden pattress and if so do you stock them?**

Quality product. Arrived when it was promised with regular updates on its progress. Very nice finish on the brass version with matching screws. Just what I had been looking for to complete a bespoke project. Would definitely use this company again.

Can now get rid of the light fittings in the flat (awful three pronged fittings with candle bulbs) and put up my lovely art deco shades.

Looks amazing but ultimately is so small that it won't fit over any modern electrical boards, meaning there is no way to earth it either (no markings to indicate it doesn't require earthing). Ended up soldering an earth cable to it and then shoving all the cabling in wago terminals up into the ceiling void - not ideal. So for the safety conscious who are reluctant to do a bit of DIY, this is a bit of a problematic product.
