The TrueCut ruler when used with the My Comfort rotary cutter (both made by The Grace Company) makes cutting fabric straight a breeze. The ruler is not made from that acrylic that always manages to get damaged (corners always chipping off). It is a bit flexible so it won't break or chip like acrylic rulers do. I like that the markings are written in a dark contrasting color and are large enough to see clearly. I was able to cut a perfectly straight piece of fabric my first time using it. I have always had issues when using rotary cutters with the blade wandering away from the straight edge or ruler no matter how hard I tried to keep it flush against it. The cutter has a guide that fits in a groove on the ruler that keeps the cutter from slipping and also protects your fingers. I love that the ruler has open squares so you can see where the fabric lies.
