The wood panel sides are nice dark wood which makes it a little incognito. They some really good weight to them and fit extremely well. The actually glass are a nice dark tint and polarized. Plus they look stunning. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet shades, but not for performance use *by B***T on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2018* Full marks for style. But you can see what they look like, you don't need me to tell you.Are the arms really wood? Yes, indeed. However the finishing has a matte surface that feels smooth like plastic, not like wood. Sure, disappointing at first but the finish ultimately protects the wood from your filthy human secretions like oil and sweat. An attempt at applying wood oil like old english didn't seem to saturate which tells you the wood is well protected. Beauty of the grain really shows off while the oil is applied, but only lasts until you wipe it off. Arms are thick, almost as thick as the plastic frame. Plastic feels like plastic. Hinges feel sturdy. Feels comfortable.How about the lenses, are they really polarized? Look at a computer screen and rotate the lens 90 degrees. Blocks out the screen light. Indeed, they are polarized. Lens tint isn't too dark, so don't think you can get away with staring in close proximity without being caught. Like most shades there's no anti-reflective coating, so you'll see reflections of your lovely eyeballs.Biggest problem are the occasional flashes of light from reflecting the sun behind you into your eyes when looking downward. The rims seem to act like thin mirrors. Maybe the lenses are responsible. I don't know I'm not an reflectologist, either way since the shades don't curve with your head and are relatively straight, it opens plenty of space for reflections to occur. Perhaps my eyes are awkwardly placed or I have a misshapen head but I can't imagine I'm the only one to experience this. You can get used to your eye reflections but the sun is not ignorable. I mean that's why you're wearing SUNglasses... So if you would experience this phenomenon often or you just want none of that, opt for shades that curve with your head and without any reflective chrome shininess.
