## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it a quite machine? What's the noise level?**
A: Hello, the machine itself while running does not make any humming or mechanical noise. When it's heating up, it can make the sound equivalent to a very quiet kettle boiling water (no steam whistle noise).Once the machine is ready to use (i.e. pressure gauge reaches 1 bar), virtually no noise is made. The operation of pouring a shot is also virtually silent and anyone in the same room could "sleep" through it.Noise is created from 1) grinding the beans; 2) smacking out the grinds in a knock box and/or 3) frothing milk using the steam wand.

**Q: Has anyone used this with a bottomless porta filter? If so, which one?**
A: Have not used filter

**Q: is this 110 or 220 volt?**
A: The espresso machine is 110 volt.

**Q: I've owned espresso machines all my life, at a price of $300-$400. this is quite expensive. how would i know it will last long than a delonghi. etc?**
A: I suppose the best way to describe the quality is "commercial grade", with the craftsmanship of consumer.

I have owned the 16 cup professional La Pavoni since 2010 and have only had to replace the wooden handle from the portafilter ($75 approx.). I made the mistake of getting the handle wet when cleaning.

Annual maintenance can be pricey ($100-$200) with gaskets, cleanings, and other wear and tears.

Most recently I paid roughly $400 for a complete overhaul (all internal components and cleaning) since I missed two years of maintenance.

If I had to do it over again, I absolutely would. I can't go back to plastic lol
