I'm using the photosensor to turn them on at dusk and has only failed to go on once after a downpour. That tripped the GFI but no "fault" of the SUNVIE. The unit has a digital display with many settings that allow you to program how and when you want your lights to turn on and off. Near the one-year time frame, the built-in circuit breaker started to trip intermittently shortly after it turned on. I verified that the load on the unit did not exceed manufacturer's limits and checked all of my wiring. Ultimately I made a claim against the manufacturer and they gladly replaced the unit. Dealing with customer service was easy and courteous and Sunvie stood behind their product.
