The 125 ft is supplied in 50 x 3ft lengths which gave ease of handling. Each strip had to be saw trimmed slightly to fit my requirements (70 cm carpet runner). There was slight evidence of wood tearing; but mostly overcome by use of a fine toothed saw. Obviously for me there was a little waste; and if using a wider carpet would involve more than one length for treads and risers.
