Review: Renter friendly privacy film - This privacy film has been a great solution for adding coverage without sacrificing light. It provides privacy both looking out and from the outside looking in, which was exactly what we needed. Installation is straightforward, though it does take a bit of patience if you want a completely bubble-free finish—but it’s worth the effort as it will stay on as long as you need it to! One of the best parts is how easy it is to remove. It comes off cleanly with no damage or residue left behind, which is perfect for renters. We’ve used it in two different rental homes on both sliding glass doors and windows and haven’t had any issues at all. Overall, this is a reliable, renter-friendly option that does exactly what it promises. I would definitely recommend it and would repurchase again.
Review: Completely blackout!! - This is exactly what I was looking for and I’m so happy I took the risk and bought it. In the photos I attached, you’ll see the before and after or the window I wanted to cover. Let me explain the second image. The glass on my window is frosted and I initially put the film on the inside of the window. You can see in the photo how it didn’t adhere well and left a ton of air bubbles and ripples no matter how much I tried to smooth it out. It fell off in less than a hour. The third photo is of the film on the other side of the window and you can see it worked perfectly. It adhered and was very easy to work the air bubbles out of and left it completely smooth and flawless. All this to say, if you have a frosted glass window, I recommend putting it on the smoothest side which might sound obvious at first but it depends on which side you wanted it to be on (indoor v outdoor for example). Let me tell you about the installation process now. It’s pretty simple but you definitely need to take your time. It’s going to look ugly and imperfect if you rush at all because the film is delicate and cuts like butter. I followed the instructions that were included and attempted to leave a little excess on all sides to trim it perfectly after it stuck on the window. This method was very difficult for me personally since I was doing it alone so it slipped around quite a bit if I needed to hold it firmly to make a cut. I ended up ruining one section just trying to trim it to fit the window. After that, I measured the window precisely, I’m talking down to the sixteenth of an inch and cut it exactly to the measurement of my window. It made it so much easier to put it on for me and it looks great. If you use this method, take your time. Measure twice and cut once as they say. Use something straight to trace the lines all the way down the material so you can make a clean cut. I recommend using an exacto knife or razor blade for the best cut although scissors did cut it with no problem. The most important thing for the entire process it to take your time and go slowly. Aside from cutting it out, the installation is easy. Just clean your window thoroughly, spray it with water, spray the adherent side of the film with water, and apply it. The only thing I wish was different is that it came with a squeegee. I didn’t have one small enough to fit the corners so I used a credit card which worked fine but I like the idea of them including a tiny squeegee with it in case you really don’t have anything to use. You get a good amount on the roll and could use it for several windows depending on the size. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for and I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s easy to install, looks sleek, and sticks on well!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: My bathroom window is 44 x 41... I don't see a size big enough, so would have to piece it together. Will I be able to see the seam(s)?**
A: I did that with my windows. It works okay because I put the cut edge of the second strip to the outside of the window frame, but there is still a very small sliver where the seam is visible. The film is on my living room windows so I'm not close enough to them for it to bother me.

**Q: Has anyone tried to take it down and reapply it? how did you get it off? i am wishing i put it lower on my window but i don't want to ruin it**
A: I placed mine in 2019, removed it (6-2023) by peeling it off, and reapplied it. It was starting to bubble up in places, and it was frustrating to look at. Still worked well, but required more soapy water than I remember.

**Q: I'm making my own lightbox and need to diffuse light safely over a clear plexiglas top. Would this be too opaque? Should I just use a frosted film?**
A: Hi there, thank you for your interest in our window film. This film is frosted and will let light in and block UV out. About making lightbox, you may have a try. Hope this will help. Thank you

**Q: What is exactly the differenc between matte and pute?**
A: Hi there, thanks for your interest in our window film.
Matte white is a bit whiter in color than pure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product = Good, Installation experience = 0_o

5 star for product. The pictures are accurate. You cannot see through it even up close. Light is dimmed a bit, but it is nice to have natural light in our apartment again (ground floor next to public walkway). 2.5 star for installation. The videos all make it look easy, but you have to really follow every last tiny direction. 1) Clean Window and I mean clean like you have never cleaned before. Scrub it down and then take a razor blade across the surface. If possible, clean the outside of the window so you can really see that the inside surface is clean. 2) Trim it within 1/2 to 1/4 in of size needed. The film we purchased was only a couple inches extra on each side and instructions said to have a bit extra so didn't bother to pre-trim. BIG MISTAKE. The extra kept wanting to pull down and off the window and then when we did go to cut off the excess, I could not get a straight line. 3) Get a Hard Edge to smooth film. A squeegee with a flexible rubber edge resulted in much swearing and yelling. I would recommend a hard rubber kitchen bench/bowl scraper with a straight edge. We ended up flipping the squeegee over and using the metal rim holding the rubber, but it was too hard and wanted to pull and tear the film :/ 4) All that soapy water you sprayed on the window? Yeah that is a huge puddle on the floor afterwards. Have a towel handy. Also, you only need a couple of drops of dish soap (a lot of videos just said water with dish soap, didn't specify how much :b) 5) Smooth film onto window starting with hands and then go to squeegee. Film has some stretch so go easy; it will pull and tear if you rub too hard. Line up top edge, smooth from center to left and right. When 90% of water solution is smoothed out, smooth top to bottom and get every last drop and air bubble out. The water is helpful for installation, but it needs to be gone for final adhesion. 6) Get a brand new SHARP utility blade for final trim. Film will pull and tear if blade is dull. Have a ruler on hand to hold down the adhered film while cutting so it doesn't pull off the window as you cut. 7) Kiss and make up with spouse. Have a glass of wine. Would definitely buy again as results are worth it. Next time though, the glass of wine comes first ;-D
