**Q: The package i received states "lead free". can i use these tips for lead solder?**
A: Actually to answer your question. If you use to different soldiers together it will cause contamination in your solder joints and will also cause corrosion ending in a failed solder joint. I would stick with what the manufacturers guide line suggests. You can always switch out different tips depending on the job your working on. I have had good results with these tips. I keep them tined at all times and keep my iron set at 710 f.

**Q: What is the shaft outer diameter?**
A: The outter diameter is 5.2mm at the threaded end.

**Q: what is the thread size inside the tip?**
A: There is no thread inside the tip. It’s held in place by screwing on the outside of the pencil’s barrel.

**Q: Are these for leaded or lead free solder? your etb specifically says lead free but i want to be sure.**
A: I only use lead-free solder.

they are no good well not solder at all so went back to weller with no problems
