Review: One of the best retinol products I've used - First - for those of you saying it is "oily" and leaves film on your skin, you're not applying this correctly. Retinol is intended to be used at night and used sparingly -- 3-5 drops are all that's needed. This is enough for crow's feet, over the brow, cheeks and around your mouth, leaving whatever is left on your hand for your neck and decolletage. Once you smooth it on and apply a light moisturizer, your skin should feel soft, smooth and NOT oily. It should not leave a residue on your pillowcase. Using once daily, a bottle should last about four (4) months. My nighttime routine is to remove all makeup with gel-type cleanser, tone with witch hazel / micellar water, apply retinol oil, and moisturize. That's it. Second, I am 66 years old and have been using Neutrogena's retinol oil for six or seven years. It makes a huge difference in the quality of my skin. People who haven't seen me is several years always comment that my skin looks amazingly young, soft and not old and wrinkled. And I live in an extremely harsh, full sun, 115 degree heat climate. If this product had been around 20 years ago, I'd still look 45. At this stage, I'm happy with 55 or so. Highly, highly recommend.

The product comes in two small glass bottles and it has a light oily texture. It’s not too oily though. It goes on nicely and has a very light scent. In the morning, my face feels and looks nice and smooth. If’s gentle enough to wear nightly and I haven’t had any peeling from it. I have received many compliments on my skin lately and I attribute the improvements to this product. Another pro is it comes in two small bottles so it’s easy to take on travel.

First - for those of you saying it is "oily" and leaves film on your skin, you're not applying this correctly. Retinol is intended to be used at night and used sparingly -- 3-5 drops are all that's needed. This is enough for crow's feet, over the brow, cheeks and around your mouth, leaving whatever is left on your hand for your neck and decolletage. The product comes in two small glass bottles and it has a light oily texture. It’s not too oily though. It goes on nicely and has a very light scent.
