While the main heading for the product on the Amazon site says it is plug and play, it is not for Windows 7 operating systems. For Windows 7, the fine print in the product description on Amazon directs you to install the driver from a disk that is provided. Most of the information on the disk is in Chinese, and what is in English does not give you a clue as to which driver, from a choice of 8 folders containing drivers, you should choose.
