Occasionally have to clean the little intake filter on the underside but that is no no deal...Keep it in adequate water and it works well in drawing in birds. Do not let it run dry for more than a couple of minutes or so. Put in a dark place or bring inside when not in use. Worth the money I spent. I do not use any of the sprinkler heads so as to reduce evaporation. It then also sort of gurgles over the top instead of spraying.
