It makes sense to me to protect an expensive lens with such an inexpensive piece of kit.I have used Hoya UV filters in the past but I thought I would give this one from Tiffen on my latest lens.So far, I'm very pleased - out of the box, the filter felt robust and seems well made. The screw thread was well defined and attached to the lens with no issues. The lens cap also still fits in with the filter in place.In use, I have found the filter unobtrusive and have seen none of the reflections mentioned in one or two reviews previously.Highly recommended as a relatively inexpensive way to protect an expensive lens.Update (Sep 21)In my earlier review, I stated that I had seen none of the reflections mentioned in one or two reviews; after some time using this lens I have to say that I do see the reflections noted by others.
