Contains Untreated and totally natural Hickory Wood Chips for the BBQ - inside a 3 litre Re-usable plastic tub with lid. Ideal for adding delicious flavour to BBQ food. Can be used dry - to add a strong instant smokeyness to your BBQ food or food smoker, or you can Soak the chips in water or wine to give a more gentle slower burning flavour to your BBQ food. try using them in a smoke box - V shaped boxes are best for Gas BBQs or you can use the flat bottom stainless steelk types too. tin foil works very well or simply throw a handful onto the hot coals of a charcoal bbq. Best used with a BBQ that has a lid, but equally as good to add some flavour to bbqs that have no lid, the flavour is less strong that way. All our chips are certified for use within restaurant cooking or commercial food smokers and are certified as such. These BBQ chips would make a great gift for first time food smokers or equally experienced BBQ Chefs. Quick and easy to use, you can't go wrong! All Natural Wood PEFC quality and HACCP certified.

    Smoky taste but not flavour

Not sure what I was expecting when purchasing these being new to .a gas bbq  They certainly give the cooked item a smoky taste but not the charcoal flavour.  Unfortunately that is not what I wanted, perhaps naively, I was hoping for more.I still gave these four stars because they do what they say on the pack but not to my taste.
