You cannot use the lid as a punchbowl or the underside of the base for appetizers. I think the base and tray are GLUED together and water ran out when drying. A bead of caulk to protect the glue will fix this. Then there's all the air bubbles in the lid! I thought about contacting the seller for a replacement, but didn't. I'm in a situation where it may have been swapped out so a greedy family member could have the nice one. So, good luck ### ⭐ Very poor quality, it’s not worth 50$, more like 15-20 *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2018* The leg support is glued to the “plate”. The lid is made very cheaply too: it has air bubbles in it and the edge on it is not made evenly, has pointy/sharp spots. The whole thing can’t stand in a flat granit counter without wobbling, just like an unleveled chair.I’m unset as it was gonna be for our Christmas cake and I can’t use it. One for myself and one for a gift. I opened mine and am very happy with it. The other plate I shipped later as a birthday gift. When it was opened and examined there is a manufacturing defect - a chip off the plate has been glazed onto the plate surface. So, there is a chip in the edge of the plate and that chip has been glazed onto the plate permanently.
