It seems to be relatively well made, easy to assemble (first time). I purchased this to use for my spotting scope, it is a little heavier than your average camera, but it works well. It holds tight, and as far as i can tell, no risk of toppling over. The only flaw is the horizontal axis lock (Pan and tilt). If this has anything heavy (such as a spotting scope), the lock tends to give more than it should.
