I bought the unit for that reason so as to prolong battery life. Will report back after I get some more miles on the thing. Otherwise it seems to be working and is easy to program. Wish it had six sensors without having to spend twice the money.Update: the sensors do sleep, leaving the last transmitted data on the display until they awaken again once the vehicle begins moving.Update 2: Moved the system to my 5th wheel. Still working great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yokaro Solar Powered Tire Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS) - 4 External Sensors *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2017* I purchased the Yokaro Solar Powered Tire Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS) - 4 External Sensors. Initially I had a few issues that were quickly addressed by customer support! The monitor and display is very nice, the readings are easy to see and differentiate the tire pressure from the tire temperature. The solar charging worked well after the initial charge using the included cable.I compared the tire pressure reading of the TPMS against the tire pressure display of my GMC Canyon pickup, they were basically identical considering the accuracy of both systems is one degree.Please be aware of the system details stating "Sensors signal covers about 8 M (26 ft), Beyond 10 M (33 ft), there’s no signal". When I tried to use the system on my 20' travel trailer along with my GMC Canyon, the distance from the sensors to the monitor was 28', resulting in limited success of the system. When you use the system within the documented specs, it is a nice system for the cost. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ lousy instructions *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2018* I rarely read installation instructions because they're horribly written, but these are horrible because they omit the small number of details you actually need to make this thing work. This is a shame because the device itself is brilliant.To install this thing on a motorcycle:First, charge the display unit via the USB charging cable. Mine was dead in the box but charged very quickly (less than 1 hour)The little rubber thingy in the handlebar clamp appears to be for use on 7/8" bars. I have tapered bars and the clamp woudn't close over the 1 1/8" section with the rubber thing, but I wound up mounting it on the skinny part of my bars and did need the rubber thing.The manual says nothing about it, but on each of the two pressure senders is a faintly embossed letter, F or R for the front and read wheel respectively. It's easy to miss.I put the senders on before I turned on the display, and they continued to read zero until, after discovering I'd put them on the wrong wheels, I took them off and then put them back on again with the display turned on, at which point the system began working. I think maybe the right order of operations is to turn on the display first (by holding the set button for a few seconds) and then screwing on the front and rear senders.After doing it that way, everything is happy.
