Review: Quality was higher than my expectations. - My first impressions are that this valve represents great value for money. I read the critical reviews and decided to dismiss them and I'm glad I did. Other reviewers were critical about the size of the holes restricting flow. I found that the water pressure didn't suffer from the size of the holes through the valve, although that might not be the case for installations which rely on gravity feed. The valve is of the ceramic ¼ turn variety, the valve body is chrome plated brass of a good weight. It had the correct threads for a normal shower hose and fit super easy without leaks, provided you use a spanner to snug up the connections. It provided adequate flow for an 8 inch waterfall shower head for a satisfying shower, in my humble honest opinion. The quality of the materials tells me it will last a long time in our soft-water area.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the nut loose? I don’t have the room to spin the entire unit around to tighten it.**
A: Yes, it spins on it's own you don't need to turn he whole unit to tighten it.

**Q: Is there any reduction in flow?**
A: If your shower is on a mains pressurised system or a pumped system you probably will not notice any flow reduction. Mine is on a 1.5 bar pumped system and it's more than adequate (sometimes too much !).  It quickly switches between deluge and hand held very easily and you can also adjust it so there is flow coming from both - this works really well if you have a high pressure system.

**Q: Can the female inlet water source be connected to shower head**
A: Yes. These taps are quality and I’ve used several of them over the years. 
You shower hose will screw perfectly onto the tap which you fit on the water outlet from you shower. 
Honestly they are great value and you won’t be disappointed xx

**Q: does the female nut thread detach from the valve?**
A: No. It’s fixed but spins.

Bought this for second flexible shower head in the shower cubicle. Easy to fix and does job very well. Just got to remember which position is which else you'll get a surprise shower where you didn't want it. Seems well built, not the cheapest on Amazon, but made of metal so should last.
