Thanx!** A: I've used mine on several of my mandolin with success. Intonation was very good, so much so that I plan on getting the model specifically for mandolin/banjo from Planet Wave to not have it be so large and hitting my hand. It's perfect for my 6 and 12 string guitars, though. I have Dunlop and Shubb models that are very good, but I'm enjoying the Planet Wave design and intonation BEST. **Q: Will this work with a 2" nut and a radiused (24") fingerboard?** A: I don't have that particular configuration but I'll give you some information and I hope it helps. I got the standard steel-string model for my (standard) old Martin and the Classical model for my Taylor 712 with a 1 3/4" nut and a somewhat flatter fingerboard (I don't know the radius). The standard actually works on the Taylor but the Classical model seems to give me fewer tuning issues with the 6th string. The PW Classical model actually has a slight curve so it might be fine with a 24" radius but I couldn't say for sure. **Q: I want to use this on a taylor 414ce-n with a 1-7/8” nut width. is the best choice?** A: The Planet Waves capo that the D'Addario is designed from works very well on my custom OOO with 1&15/16" nut width. The D'Addario looks like the same capo but is not. I can't tell what they changed but it simply will not exert the same pressure on the strings as the old Planet Waves. I have a Rainsong with 1&3/4" nut, that the D'Addario will work on but even on this guitar the clamping nut backs off after a while. It grips the strings well just behind the fret and is easy to use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great item *by D***R on 15 March 2026* Great value, easy to use, nice design. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perhaps the most unobtrusive, lightweight and effective capo there is? *by M***E on 6 December 2016* This is about as unobtrusive, lightweight and effective a capo as can be found anywhere - I came to this having for some time previously coveted the marvellously tactile but almost twice as expensive G7th Performance capo. A pro guitarist drew my attention to the NS Capo pro and I quickly came around to it's minimalist efficiency. I still like picking up and fiddling about with other people's G7th's but this D'addario/Planet Waves capo is perfect for the job and half the weight. Be aware that there's a cheaper 'lite' version of this capo. The design is pretty much exactly the same except that it's made from ABS plastic instead of aviation grade aluminium. Although the plastic 'lite' version is not recommended for 12 string guitars, I believe it's as effective but at a pocket money price point. Otherwise, if you're not especially budget constrained I'd recommend the pro version.
