Originally bought to store powders, has been put into use as a temporary bread bin, due to being the perfect size for the loafs our bread maker produces. Keeps bread fresh for days, and the accompanying moisture tray has stopped and dampness from still warm loaves causing any issues. All in all a great container, more will be purchased. I have been dish-washing the bases and just wiping the lids with a cleaner. If you put the lids in the dishwasher, they come out fine but water gets stuck under the edges. you CAN prize the lid apart... the white section from the clear section. I have done this a few times and it clicks back together no problem, but its not something I would want to do all the time, as I feel they may eventually break. So have chosen to just wipe the lids.
