At the 4x setting, it is just barely larger than the Super 8 frame and at 4.5x it is slightly cropped. This is the perfect lens for that application. I'm using a Sony A6500 with the APS-C size sensor; this may not be true of a full-size sensor camera. ### ⭐ Defective unit out of Box *by C***R on October 30, 2019* I'll revise my review when I get a working lens. The aperture ring refused to move, it's clearly stuck. After inspecting the lens, I noticed screwdriver marks on the inside. I'm pretty sure I was sold a refurbished one that wasn't quality checked after....
