Review: Easy to Use With Amazing Results - Last Christmas I received a Spellbinders Better Press to use with my "Big Shot." It makes beautiful, embossed cards. Recently I had seen someone use the Better Press plates with the Spellbinders Glimmer attachment and the results were not just professional, but breath takingly beautiful. (I know I have used the adjective beautiful twice--but they really are!) Before purchasing, I watched several YouTube videos. I was still a bit nervous about using it, but every single product has turned out perfectly on the first try. I purchased it several weeks ago, and have already had card making friends come over to try it out. Every person who has used it has loved the results. The Glimmer comes with a silicone mat, the heater and tray, an ingenious magnet holder to remove the hot plates, one decorative plate and one sentiment as well as a multi-colored and a gold roll of paper. Using this product will enable you to make personalized cards that are so much nicer than anything you can buy. It was well worth the price.

**Q: I want to use the Glimmer system, but I don't have a Spellbinders Platinum Machine, can I use it with a different one?**
A: Yes! Our Glimmer Machine is compatible with other die cutting machines. The machine must have at least a 6" wide platform and cut steel rule dies in order to work with Glimmer.

**Q: Can I use any dies with my Glimmer machine?**
A: You can use MANY metal wafer-thin dies (0.8mm thick) with the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Some dies do not translate well to foiling and you will need to experiment. You may need to use extra cardstock to elevate as standard dies are thinner.

**Q: Can I use my Couture Creations Foil with the Glimmer Hot Foil System?**
A: Yes, you can. You can also use Foil Quill foils and Gemini Foilpress foils. These are all thermal foils, which means that heat activates the foil to transfer the image onto your substrate.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super fun tool!

I've been using this unit for a couple of months now. I've used the foil that came with it as well as some budget foil I bought on amazon. First off, this is just the coolest little machine! The foiling (when it works, but more on that soon) is beautiful and just amazingly "pro" looking. I'm making cards for Christmas and have done about 30 foiled cards so far. The Spellbinders brand foil is perfect and I haven't had a single one turn out spotty. The discount foil... Well, it's a bummer, but it definitely is not as good or consistent. In fact, it has been so spotty that I ended up keeping the plastic foil cover on several of the plates I did. I just slid some glue in between the foil plastic cover and card and stuck them together. That way you end up with a fully foiled item. Anyhow, it's something to consider when you go for the massive discount foil bundle, which I certainly did. If you are hesitating to get this item, I'd say go for it. It made a huge difference in the cards I'm making and it's pretty hard to resist foiling everything.
