The insects come out of hibernation (if they hibernate) and scope me out at all hours of the day, in every season, in every country. I always take daily anti-histamines before and during my trips abroad and through the summer in the UK and always end up needing a (holiday dampening) doctors visit as i always require stronger anti-allergy tablets and usually antibiotics due to the severity and number of bites and this is when using the silly 97% DEETs and long trousers etc - so I take prevention quite seriously!! I didn't want to use DEET on holiday in Cuba (it smells horrendous, feels like it burns my skin and apparently is quite bad for you) so I tried this in combination with a natural anti-mosquito stick, odourless garlic capsules, high dose vitamin B complex and loratadine (daily anti-histamine tablets) and received THREE bites in total - TOTALLY UNHEARD OF! I don't know how much was the spray and how much was my month prior tablet preparation but the spray smells nice, lasts awhile and you can't see traces of it on your skin or clothes and it isn't sticky. The ingredients all seem natural and there's plenty left after nightly use and reapplication on holiday.
