Not thick like the borosilicate bowls at that Swedish big box store, but these are the thickest borosilicate vessels I've ever seen. i recommend the 68oz. three pack because the 68oz. size fits in the door of the fridge, plus, my experience is that one is needed for water and cucumber water, etc., but two are needed by themselves to keep the coffee flowing. As one pitcher of coffee is finishing up, I get another started so I don't have to wait till it stops raining or whatever to swish out the grinds to the compost pile, and that way my coffee is available without interruption. Three 68oz. pitchers are very ideal for a basic set-up, and the third one of course can be also used for impromptu sangria, etc. for guests.
