I really like the locking mechanism on the warner, but this plank works. It was half the price, is rated at 200 pounds more. It is about 3 inches thick and 11 inches wide, so the height makes it where i can't use it with my little giant on the very top rung, but being an inch narrower fits where warner doesn't also. Seems to be very solid when extended and little more comfortable having 2 on it then I am with 2 on the warner. I would buy again. Review: Works just fine. - Works just like expected. I have been using two of them to help put up shiplap siding on my new garage. I have also used a regular 2x12x12' board. I thought people would be interested in a comparison. The wooden board flexes more than the aluminum scaffolding plank. The wooden board also weighs more than the aluminum one. But the wooden board costs a lot less. My assessment is that for a few uses, the wooden board is fine. It would be harder to lift up to higher heights, but then two people would probably still be best to lift the aluminum one up very high and two people could likely handle a wood board too. I think that if a 2x4x8' was put on edge under the 2x12x12 board, it would be as strong but heavier. The Menards price for this same item was about 100 dollars more than desertcart. I used a variety of things to hold up the scaffold plank, including A-frame ladders, saw horses, and ladder jacks. Ladder jacks are the most convenient because I can carefully step from one plank to the next to continue working at that level. Most inexpensive extension ladders are not rated for use with ladder jacks. So I ended up deciding to make my own sturdy wood ladders for less than half the money. You extend it between the steps of two stepladders for drywall taping, mud application, wall sanding, painting, etc. You can also use two straight ladders and a pair of ladder jacks. I used it extended between a pony wall and a step of a step ladder to replace a massive brass-beveled glass ceiling light fixture above stairs going down a story and a half. Without any rails, it was precarious to do the overhead wiring. Several breaks to get blood back in my arms were necessary.
