They are legit made of wheat straw fiber, they are hard as plastic but will decompose in a landfill in months versus plastic which takes 1,000 years. Buying things in glass instead of plastic like salad dressing, or silicone/bamboo/stainless steel straws, glass Tupperware, silicone ziplock bags, etc., are all small easy things to do but make a collective difference.
