You may have to heat the to put it on. **Q: So, is it poly or vinyl? To say it is both is false advertising.** A: This Orbit drip tubing is vinyl. **Q: what is id/od of tubing? never seen irrigation tubing without measurements, hence all the hard installs** A: I do not know the id/od of this tubing. However accepts 1/4" fittings snugly. If the tubing is being difficult, warming it in sunshine and/or some hot water will soften it enough to allow the 1/4" fittings to be inserted far enough to be secure.
